Just wondering what your thoughts are... Do you think that it is possible to live forever (or a very very long time)? Or do you think that we can extend the lengh of life to 150 or even 200 years? Why or why not?

According to mythology, one cannot be immortal but it depends on his environment and his attitudes towards life which makes him happy and as he views world a happier place and his life extends. We have cases in India, where a man is 150 years old and has no medical complaints. But his eye is impaired, which amazes me that he still eats well as an person old as 40-60 years would do. I am biotechnologist, as my opinion would say that according to system which god has created one should be born as baby...to child...young boy....adult.....mid-aged man.....aged man....old-aged man....Death is a natural process...which according to me is apoptosis of cells....the case above looks nice on guiness book of world records but as a biological organism, he is of no use after a certain age limit.....I would only say its the way you live and you are confident in your deeds then it takes you all obstacles ..and you live happily.

At this moment we can only manipulate our environment but cannot predict what has already been stated in god's book. I beleive in god and so science came much and much later even the world has existed....

hello sir,

I would like to know more of nano-machines and their feasibility in being useful to human needs?

being a human being and mortality rate it is actually very easy to say that after certain period of time one has to leave this earth..bt then being a biotechnologist i believe v can alter the possibilities of leaving this stage early i. e. we as a biologist can create some genes or alter them by mutations that would increase our life span.infact their is a friend of mine who actually came up wih anti aging gene which helps prevent oneself from being old.sounds strange but if it gonna true i think most of the people who are pretty concious of their age would love to see its effect.

It is the same i mentioned that it is just our hit-trial method or manipulation using recombinant DNA techology, we are exploring our genetic network, but how far it is going to be resistable by human system or how far it is going to be true for all genes. we have to understand our limitations as a biologists and think logically. Everything as a concept on papers or publications is not true practically or ethically. we need more research to support both the sides of this debate.
